    (5) One of the most fair, professional and punctual services

JRP Stucco is one of the most fair, professional and punctual services I've ever used. As far as the work goes they take pride in what they do and it really shows in the results. Top notch quality. I had JRP stucco completely redo the exterior of my mothers house. They removed old siding and offered great suggestions for certain details on this one story home. The transformation was absolutely amazing. Joe, from JRP is one of the most honest, true to his word people I've met and he understands construction inside and out. There were a few unexpected things that come up in our project that we had to deal with, and Joe worked with us to provide the right solution. I would highly recommend this company for any work and I will definitely be hiring them in the future for any home projects.

    (5) A real professional

Joe and his amazing crew transformed my house from dark, dingy and dated to gorgeous and charming. Being on a corner, the house is noticed by every passerby. After JRP Stucco finished a remarkable makeover, many people stopped and complimented me on my beautiful "new" yellow French Cottage-looking house. I couldn't have been more satisfied, and pleased working with Joe; a real professional, courteous, and detail oriented visionary! Not only is his work perfectly executed, the job was done with lightning speed until completion. JRP is truly the truly best in all of San Diego.

    (5) Our home looks brand new!

I've been told by many that I am a perfectionist. I like to think that I know quality when I see it. I have done most of my home remodeling project myself because I could not find contractors that could, or would, meet my expectations. Stucco work is not a one-man job, so I researched about half a dozen local stucco contractors and called four to provide proposals. Three showed up, but Joe from JRP was the most thorough and professional. I did not have construction drawings, just a long list of items and some hand-drawn sketches. Joe turned that into a proposal that was not the lowest price, but included all the miscellaneous items the other contractors left out. He also had great suggestions for details I had not considered.I hired JRP for:* removal of old wood siding* power wash, repair, and paint eaves* prep for stucco (paper, lath, etc.)* 3-coat stucco system with custom color and texture on the front* 3-coat stucco system patches with color and texture to match existing around new doors and windows in back* Stone veneerJRP was on site within 48 hours of getting the green light. They protected the house and cleaned up as they went. They worked quickly and did high-quality work. Once the final coat was on, Joe and I realized that I had not done a good job of describing the texture I wanted. The texture was beautiful, but wasn't exactly what I expected. Did I already mention I am a perfectionist? Joe was very understanding; he remobilized his crew and changed the texture. Now it's precisely what I'd envisioned.Today Joe's crew finished the stone work and did the final clean up. My wife and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Our home looks brand new! Our neighbors have all followed the progress and are amazed by the transformation.I will hire JRP again for the next phase of our remodel project, and I will recommend Joe to everyone who asks.

    (5) I was amazed

I hired JRP to replace my old wood siding around the garage with stucco and clean up and repaint the fascia. We wound up adding work to the job because we thought Joseph's ideas were really good. This is even though we had a tight budget and never intended to do any more than the absolute minimum. They re-stucco'd the front columns and added a cap/crown to the top. It looks perfect. I interviewed and received estimates from 3 different companies who all had great Yelp reviews but I knew I wanted to work with Joseph from our first meeting. He was the only one I talked to who viewed my job as something to be approached with as much consideration as any larger job. We talked about his approach, his ideas and what my husband and I wanted. All the companies we talked to suggested we stucco our front support columns to match the new wall but only Joseph took time to explain why and suggested we add a crown to the top. Joseph was back to me within 4 days with not only a quote but a full idea as to how he would approach the work, broken down like a menu so my husband and I could consider the costs and pick the work we wanted done. I am SO glad I didn't go with the first guy who got back to me with an estimate. Joseph and his team have been great all along. 1. They got the job done in 3 DAYS without me pushing them to do so. I had made a request for just the repair of the fascia prior to Thanksgiving because I was having family over. But he wound up getting the entire job done that week!! The fascia was previously hard to look at, honestly. We'd just had it repainted the previous year by a professional and it was already peeling. Joseph had to strip the new paint, plus multiple other layers, and some of the wood to get it to a state where it would hold the paint and look good. 2. They were amazingly detailed about covering my concrete, woodwork, plants and even the soil around their work area. They VACUUMED their work area every night and cleaned up entirely. We have a greyhound and typically keep our gates locked so we don't have any escapes and Joseph and crew were very good about asking us first if they could use the gates and even erecting a barrier to ensure the dog couldn't get out while they were using the gate. 4. Don't tell my husband but I bought these guys a pizza one day while they were working because I was SO HAPPY with the way they did business, the way they treated me, their professionalism and the work they did. As I mentioned in the beginning, this was supposed to just be a replacement for the ugly old siding but when they were done I was amazed at how improved the house looked as a whole. I sat and stared at it and smiled. I still do.

    (5) The result was high quality

Our tract house was built 30 years ago and was looking old and tired. We also had wood rot and needed a new roof. We decided to have new stucco put on the walls and and paint on the wood trim. After getting quotes from several contrators and meeting with Joe we decided to use him because his price was fair (some where much higher) and he seemed truly interested in listening to what we wanted. It took some time and agonizing to decide on colors but it was worth it because we love how it turned out. I was very concerned about the texture of the stucco since we the original stucco was very ugly. We wanted a smooth Santa Barbara type finish but Joe and other stucco contractors warned us about the higher cost and higher probability of cracks. So we went with his suggestion of using a Montalvo finish. Again I was concerned because I had seen this finish on other houses and didn't like it because it had too many patchy looking areas. Joe sent us to look at another house he had done with this finish and it looked really great so we went ahead. I have to say he nailed the stucco texture its still pretty smooth with some but not too much texture. The paint also turned out looking great. The work was not not fast but in a reasonable amount of time and the result was high quality and looks fantastic. I have to say our house stands out and makes the other homes in our neighborhood look slummy.

    (5) You will not be disappointed!

I do not often write reviews but JRP deserves my time to do so. I was in need of some stucco repair on my home. I first contacted them via email the night before Easter. I certainly did not expect a response until Monday at the earliest. To my surprise I received a response on Easter morning! OK....Anyone who works that hard has my attention.... We met face to face on Monday afternoon and agreed on a very reasonable price and a start date of Thursday morning. True to their word the crew arrived on time Thursday morning. The 2 man crew worked incredibly hard and did a fantastic job! In fact they knew I had my home listed for sale and needed it done quickly. They put in 13 hours that day and condensed a two day job into a single day. They did not have to do that, they did it to help me out. Everything was cleaned up before they left and the work they did was super! If you need stucco work do not hesitate to hire this crew. You will not be disappointed!

    (5) Thanks JRP for a job well done

I worked with Joe from JRP Plastering on a 1978 home remodel. This project is being overseen by me and my husband. The remodel is a roof top to foundation project. JRP Plastering was hired to change the old mission style stucco to a smooth style stucco finish on the exterior, as well as resurfacing all the interior walls to a smooth finish. Well, JRP's work 'list' turned into so much more! JRP's work included: adding stone to the exterior, completing drywall repairs for all the rough electrical & plumbing, prepping walls for tile work, changing out door casings, fully removing old 'beadboard' style walls/ceilings and installing drywall with the same hand applied texture as done through out the house, and he even helped us obtain custom grilles for the exterior as well as a chimney cap/shroud. Joe's ideas were helpful and his pricing was competitive. He was timely with completing work, and his work and his crew kept things reasonably clean. He communicated on matters and got the job done. Any issues, we were able to work through them fairly and agreeably. If it's a huge job like this was, keep track of open work and be sure you agree in advance on exactly what is expected, and what is included in the pricing so you don't get surprised. Being clear up front seemed to work best to avoid confusion. Joe was great about helping will materials logistics too. I will use his services again in the future. Thanks JRP for a job well done.

    (5) JRP Stucco and Plastering did an outstanding job on my home makeover

JRP Stucco and Plastering did an outstanding job on my home makeover. The house was over 40 years old and had little outside care. Joseph came in and did the complete job. I wanted someone who could do it all and not have to deal with many different people for each aspect. Joseph was excellent. He did the stucco, electrical, insulation addition (the house had no insulation), replaced doors, added outside lights, upgraded a front patio, replaced the rain gutters, and replaced the window screens. Joseph coordinated all the work and was the liaison to the electrical, gutter, screen, and insulation contractors. This allowed me to be free to work and not have to worry about being home to supervise the work. He was also here to supervise the cable repair that was needed. Everyone was paid on time which also took the pressure off of me. The work was excellent and the attention to detail outstanding from both Joseph and his crew. I was able to contact him easily when needed and always got a prompt response. He was always on time when he said he would be and kept me informed of the work to be done each day. The work was done in a timely and when they left for the day you would not know they had ever been there, everything was cleaned up and put back. Joseph also made some suggestions for improving the overall look and safety concerns for the house. That was very helpful for me as there were things I didn't think about. I would not hesitate to recommend this company or call them back for future work.

    (5) Our stucco just looked BEAUTIFUL! I highly recommend them!!

When it came time to give the exterior of our home a major face lift, I was not looking forward to the process of selecting the right contractor for the job. We had invested a great deal of money into our landscape and I had heard horror stories form a friend who's stucco contractor had done substantial damage to their landscaping as well as there hardscape. When a friend recommended JRP, I was still skeptical. After our first meeting, I felt immediately at ease. Joe, the owner, came out personally to evaluate our needs. He listened to what we had in mind and expanded our ideas to create a fantastic result! From suggesting the perfect color, to showing us how we could get a better effect with slight architectural changes. He was courteous and easy to work with. During the process of our stucco make over, I was equally impressed with the professionalism, politeness, attention to detail and cleanliness of his team. Our final result was better than we expected. JRP did not leave a trace after they had gone. Our stucco just looked BEAUTIFUL! I highly recommend them!!

Removed several layers of wallpaper. Bullnosed corners and plastered master bedroom, living room and dining room. Also did extensive stucco repair outside to a large area of our atrium which had water damage from sprinklers. Installed new drywall in an area of our laundry room from an old leak. The owner, Joseph and his crew are obviously highly experienced in their field. Joseph is the kind of person who takes pride in his work and enjoys making suggestions and offering ideas to improve the outcome of the work. He's a people person and very easy to work with. Plastering and stucco work is a dirty job, they were in my house for 10 days and always kept the job site as neat and clean as possible. When they were finished everything looked fantastic, inside and out. The stucco work as a perfect match and you could not tell where the work had been done. All trash and was removed and they did a thorough job of cleaning up. I would definitely hire them again and in fact they are in the process of entirely redoing the fireplace in my living room.

    (5) Jrp did a great job

We did interview 2 other candidates for the job but JRP's Joe came across the most professional so we went with jrp even though they were more expensive. Jrp did a great job on our front walkway stucco area with the only problem being that there were 2 small areas that were missed. I contacted JRP twice since then and he said he would come out to fix it. JRP hasn't been here yet but i will update you when/if he does show up. I also asked him to quote 2 other jobs and haven't received that. It is a very busy time of year so hopefully jrp will be able to finish up here soon.

    (5) He did an excellent job of matching the stucco.

Three palm trees in a too-small planting area had created a long crack in our front patio wall. Two other contractors had proposed taking the wall apart to expose the cement blocks underneath and gave me expensive bids. Joe explained that this wasn't necessary and could even create more problems, and he gave me a very reasonable bid. He did an excellent job of matching the stucco and achieving a satisfactory cosmetic repair. He also seems to have vast knowledge about construction and landscaping in general and is willing to share this knowledge. He was so focused on helping me that he almost forgot to collect his check for the work he did!

I recently had my home redone by JRP. Having JRP do my house was the best decision ever. My home is a 35 year old track house that JRP added life and sparkle back. I love coming home to my house now because of JRP. Joseph quickly provided me with a bid and vision for my home. As soon as Joseph received the approval the next day the crew was at my home. It was impressive that the crew arrived on time, employees were very nice and knowledgable, and to top it off the owner was present and communicated with me throughout each step. I had JRP place up stucco, repaint trim, fix molding, redo vents, and add window decorative trim. It was a nice surprise Joseph had his crew paint my side gates and roof pipes !! Wow that's going the extra mile!!! I received several compliments on my house and I will be contacting JRP for all future projects. Joseph the owner you can tell he truly cares about taking care of his customers and ensuring the job done is done perfectly..... and because of Joseph he now has a customer for life.

    (5) As for the quality of work, excellent!

Joe is not your typical contractor. He actually calls you back and answers any questions you have. He gave me a time he would complete it and actually met the date. He actually cleans up after himself, not just picking up the big stuff. I had a few contractors come by for a window replacement and they left nails, staples, screws, and other junk lying around. Joe even cleaned up after them! As for the quality of work, excellent! You can't even tell he was there. Great work goes un-noticed and bad work can't be missed. But in my case, the old work was done so poorly that you can't miss that a professional fixed it.

He is meticulous in his work and was always mindful to check and see that every little thing was just as she wishes it to be. The stucco work is beautiful. Every time we drive up to the house we say it's the best looking house on the block. I recommend JRP Plastering and Joseph to everyone. Best construction experience we have ever had. (He still checks in to see how Mom is doing) Just a great guy with great work ethics.

    (5) Very pleased!

Very pleased! I called JRP for a quote on re-patching stucco that was needed in preparation for paint. Joe arrived at my home to discuss my needs and I ended up having him (and his crew) stucco my entire house. I am very pleased with the end result. He has attention to detail, was fairly priced and cleaned up at the end of each day. I would definitely recommend JRP. Joe was honest and I trusted his opinion on all of the details. There were no shortcuts..he came back an additional day to make sure that every detail was touched. I will call Joe for future projects.

    (5) We'll call him out again no doubt.

My wife and I just bought a new home that's a total fixer-upper. We originally called Joe out to just have a look at some exterior stucco repair but he was so helpful and knowlegable about all sorts of things so we turned him loose on a number of other repair jobs as well. He did a great job and followed up later to make sure things with the house remodel were going along ok. We'll call him out again no doubt.

    (5) Very personable.

He is very, very personable. I shopped around prior to doing this project and his pricing was in the middle. I would have him do further stucco work for me if need be and after the fact, he really cleaned up the mess, without me having to ask, and left it looking great.

    (5) I would not hesitate to hire him again and recommend him to friends and family.

We hired Joseph to do a new stucco on a section of our house (previously wood shingles) and then restucco the rest of the front to match and had a great overall experience. The work they did was excellent. We hit a few problems because of the age of the house and some work done by the previous owners that was poorly done. Joseph offered a range of different solutions to fit our budget. Overall, he was a consummate professional. Personable, timely, great work and reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to hire him again and recommend him to friends and family.

    (5) Joe will work hard for you

Removed brick fireplace, put the wall back together, patched other holes and installed recessed lighting and ran cable for new TV. Wow what didn't he do! Discussed the job on a Sunday - did the work on the fireplace the following day! Lucky timing as he had had another job reschedule that morning. The lighting and patching was done while I was out of town. I came home to a new and improved house without any trace of him having been there. Actually it was probably cleaner!I have worked with Joe on various projects over the last 10 years and he continues to impress me with his ability to look at any project and imagine it completed and the steps it needs to go through to get there - on every budget level. Joe will work hard for you and will always give you a 110% along with a cheeky smile and a joke. Large job or small you will get great work and you wont have made a bad decision to call him.

We recently had JRP stucco an addition for our house. They did a great job! Joe was quick, efficient and well priced. His team worked hard, cleaned up, and the stucco on the addition matches the rest of the house perfectly. He even filled a couple of holes on the existing part of the house. I would definitely recommend JRP for your stucco needs!

We had a stucco patch done by JRP, and it looks like there was never a hole in the side of the house. It is a perfect match. Joe was very pleasant, gave us an estimate faster than anybody else (and a lot less expensive), and was really knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company, and will definitely be using them for any future stucco needs.

As a contractor myself I am very picky about who I have work on my projects. Joe with JRP Plastering is my go to plastering guy. Aside from providing great stucco and plastering repair for my clients (we occasionally have to take out sections or areas to run wires) he also is my go to guy for any work I need done on my own home. I will continue to recommend JRP to all my friends and family for any stucco, plastering and home beautification projects.

    (5) Would recommend to anyone looking for a great Plasterer.

After purchasing my new home, I was looking to change the color of the house and to fix some cracks and windows that need repairing. I had heard of this company through my neighbors and how happy they were with their results. JRP Joe and I made an appointment to estimate my project and he was very prompt and courteous to all my perfectionist needs. His price was fair and his timeline on the project was just about what he said it was going to be- great work sometimes takes time.. especially when you're working with cement.. I know that much :) Overall from start to finish I am very satisfied with JRP and would recommend to anyone looking for a great Plasterer.

    (5) I am so happy

It sometimes takes time to completely realize your perfection of work. I am so happy. I look at what was completed in Dana Point around the same time (pretty much coping what you did) and they have crack/other problems. You took the time to drive me around the neighborhood and find out what I like then made the whole project come together even better. I think your years of experience is what made our home come together so well. I get so many compliments about the look of the house and you fixed all the problems. I'm back to loving the rain without the window leaks, etc. I guess I didn't in the past look at stucco like I do now. Thanks for what I learned from you, thanks for the best.

My neighbor and I needed a large wall stuccoed, I interviewed a few outfits and wasn't impressed, when I met Joe I just got a good feeling. He finished our project early and on budget, but the service didn't stop there. Joe gave me a lot of advice and referrals for other services I needed. Joe was great and made sure we made our deadline. He is very personable and professional, he and his crew worked around the clock to make sure it happened.... and I mean 24 hours to ensure our deadline was met. They cleaned up everything and power washed our driveway to make sure our event was going to look great. (5) They did the job

They came out and did some repair work for me. They did the job. I had to pay $95 for the materials they used. I didn’t think that was right. I didn’t use all 3 hours, I used about 1 ½ hours. I was happy it was done. The workmanship was fine. I think the extra charges were excessive considering they were not there for the 3 hours.

    (5) I would not hesitate to use JRP Stucco in the future. A job well done.

We had two crack in the foundation of our house that needed to be patched. Joe was professional, honest and extremely easy to work with. I sent him pictures of the areas that needed fixing and within 10 minutes he called and clearly explained what he thought the issue was. of course, by his own admission he needed to see it in person to validate his thoughts. He clearly explained the process and reviewed the cost range. Lucky for me the final bill was near the lower end of his range. I would not hesitate to use JRP Stucco in the future. A job well done.

    (5) JRP gave a careful estimate and a very reasonable bid.

We have a 100 year old classic Mission Hills home that was much in need of restuccoing and painting. JRP gave a careful estimate and a very reasonable bid. Joseph worked closely with us to choose colors and made good suggestions for adding fine detail adjustments, e.g. a brick cap to a retaining wall, smoke and spark protectors for the chimneys. He closely supervised all work and had it redone when the finish was not yet perfect. The stucco content, color, and finish; the painting and wood refinishing were all carefully considered and mutually worked out. His crew was extremely pleasant to work with and very skilled and competent and totally responsible. They helped us clear heavy objects from around the house and hauled trash away. The end result was beautiful. The only suggestion I have is to price add on work before it is done.
